How do different contemporary societies watch women? Stereotypes of women’s roles in society emerge as an ongoing conversation within every generation.

This is an installation to walk into – to look with the quote of the artist: “my paintings: how I create the look on women; women in today’s world.”

For Lange Nacht der Kunst portraits of and by Apollinariia Ilina are gathered together. These pictures raise questions about how women are seen in Mythology—including in contemporary life today.
