Katja Flieger UMLAUFBAHNEN

After the market, the artist will talk about her work on 6 April 2024 at 12:30 pm.

Museum Eckernförde has been exhibiting works by Katharina Duwe and Katja Flieger in the special exhibition “Lebensräume” since 3 March. Otte1 is taking this as an opportunity to talk to Katja Flieger, who was a scholarship holder at the Schleswig-Holstein Künstlerhaus in 2006, as part of the “After the Market” series.

The Muthesius graduate has since travelled the world. She has taken part in the SCOPE Art Shows in Miami, New York and Basel. In 2016, she exhibited her works for the first time together with Katharina Duwe at the Atelierhaus im Anscharpark, Kunstverein Haus 8, under the title “Stadtschwärme”. She runs a KERAMIKLAB, where, in addition to artistic works, she creates hybrids between design and artistic product development.

Back in 2011, Katja Flieger presented wallpaper designs in a joint exhibition with the Swiss artist Andreas Schneider in the Bunker-D gallery at Kiel University of Applied Sciences under the title UMLAUFBAHNEN. Katja Flieger is now showing such “designs for the creation of landscapes” on rolls of wallpaper at otte1.

A new catalogue is available for the event.
