The Artist’s Residency

The application period for 2027 has closed. The selection panels are now working intensively on the selection process. The results will not be available until the end of November 2026.

The artists’ residency “otte1” – named after its location at Ottestraße 1 – is a place for artistic work and international encounters. It supports professional artists in the fields of visual arts, literature and composition contemporary music by awarding residency scholarships.

Oscar Lebeck – Fellowship holder at the Künstlerhaus in Q4/2026

A new quarter has begun and four new fellowship holders, all specialising in ‘Visual Arts’, have moved into the studios at the Künstlerhaus and will be working here until the end of the year.

On Saturday 17 October 2026, after the market at 12.30 pm, Oscar Lebeck will briefly introduce himself and give an initial overview of his work. The other two scholarship holders, Hsiao-Ying Chen and Gisèle Gonon, will then follow on subsequent Saturdays.
