temporary use of spaces
Vacant commercial spaces can be found in almost every city – yet instead of remaining unused, they have the potential to become places of encounter, art, and social revitalization. This upcoming talk is dedicated to exploring that very potential through the temporary use of empty spaces for contemporary art exhibitions.
This coming Saturday, 6 December at 12:30 pm “After the Market”, we cordially invite you to a talk on the topic of using intermediate spaces. Discussion participants include Berlin-based artist and curator Alessandro Rauschmann from Lusvardi Art at CAP Kiel and Gordon Rieck from Galerie Rieck Eckernförde.
The conversation will focus on how temporary art exhibitions in unused spaces can open up new opportunities for artists, lower barriers to cultural participation, and how interim use can, in the long term, become a driving force for positive change.
