Summer Concert from Baroque to Contemporary Music
The Argentinian composer Ceferino García has received a short-term scholarship from the Schleswig-Holstein Künstlerhaus otte1 for July 2023. To mark the occasion, otte1 will present a summer concert in its performance space on Friday, 21 July 2023 at 7:00 pm, featuring Beatrix Wagner (flute) and Gerald Eckert (cello), composer Ceferino García (electronics) and Alejandro Galiano Zurbriggen (baroque lute).
Ceferino Antonio García (b. 1979) is a composer, teacher and producer who has dedicated himself to contemporary music for 15 years. His musical and creative interests focus on the exploration of different themes, especially the metaphorical and analogical relationship between nature and music. The composer has worked on music projects for symphony orchestra, for small and large ensembles, music for free theatre pieces, works for solo instruments and mixed music.
The programme includes two works by Gerald Eckert and pieces for lute and electronics by Ceferino García, as well as a suite in C major by the baroque composer Silvius Leopold Weiss (1687-1750). Admission costs 9€.
On Saturday at 12:30 pm, there will be a post-market reception with free admission to meet with the artists.
