New Board of Directors Elected for the Artist’s Residency!

At the general meeting on 26 April 2022, a new board was elected for the friends of otte1 – Schleswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus:

Norbert Weber (1st Chairman) is an art historian and curator of numerous exhibitions related to Northern and Eastern Europe. He is head of the Provinzial art collection and a member of the Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art’s expert panel.

Anja Römisch (Deputy Chairperson) is the long-standing Managing Director of the Foundation Kulturregion Hannover. She developed the foundation, which was established in 1997, into a funding institution that is recognised beyond the region’s borders.

Matthias Herrmann (Treasurer) is a banker and graduate in business informatics and, after completing his studies, has been active in professional life as a management consultant for 35 years. He will contribute his business and IT background to the further development of the Künstlerhaus.

Rainer Beuthel is a bookseller and qualified librarian, until 2013 at the Eckernförde public library. Since 2008 he is member of the committee for youth, culture, education and sport. He contributed numerous articles to journals and anthologies.

Klaus Buß is a lawyer. As mayor, he brought the artist’s residency from Selk to Eckernförde. He was Minister of Agriculture from 1998 to 2000 and Minister of the Interior of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein from 2000 to 2005.
