Actors and extras wanted for a short film in Eckernförde
Berlin-based artist Julie Legouez is producing the experimental short film FEGEFEUER 2.0 as part of her residency at Künstlerhaus otte1. The project is funded by the State of Schleswig-Holstein and will be filmed in Eckernförde between late October and mid-November 2026.
The film tells the story of a woman who is brought before an improvised ‘Last Judgement’ by the citizens of Eckernförde. There, she is to be judged on whether she has fulfilled her duties as a bride, wife and mother. A Catholic prayer book from 1920 serves as the legal text. The film combines historical notions of femininity, guilt and obedience with contemporary social anxieties. Another layer of the narrative refers to the Eckernförde witch-hunt case involving Abel Kruse in 1635.
People from Eckernförde and the surrounding area are being sought for various minor speaking roles, supporting roles and extras. These include members of the town council, a judge, two lay judges, three female agents and guests at a Halloween party. We are looking for adults of various ages. No previous acting experience is required. A love of acting, an open mind and an interest in an experimental art film are all that is needed.
Filming will take place on selected days between late October and mid-November in Eckernförde. Anyone interested can contact Julie Legouez with a brief introduction. They will then receive the latest script as well as further information on the roles, the planned shooting days and the schedule.
